Luther Vandross - Never too much (Epic Records 1981). This came out in 1981 and I feel like its a song that became pretty timeless and a classic. Vandross produced this track, and a deeper listen presents a lot of interesting elements in this work. For example the repeated use of a chromatic scale, which is largely associated with jazz improvisation. You can click the images to listen.
and Derrick Cross - Never too much (Athens of the North Repress 2021). Ive tried to find any original pressing info of this track, its very hard to find, I cant even find a bio for Derrick Cross anywhere! Either way, there is no denying what a good cover this is, kinda giving animal crossing X reggae. Its very lovers rock-y, and makes an already sexy song, a lot more romantic.
